The Greater New Orleans Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit, charitable organization serving individuals in the Greater New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana area with a horse riding stable. The GNOTRC is a North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) member operating center.

We are dedicated to promoting equine activities for the disabled and providing individuals with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities the opportunity to enhance the quality of their lives through equine-oriented activities in a safe, professional and progressive environment.

What is a  NARHA Center?

There are more than 700 NARHA centers in North America providing Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy for people of all ages with varying disabilities. NARHA is a national non-profit organization that promotes the benefit of horse riding for individuals with physical, emotional and learning disabilities.

When you select a NARHA member center:

• You can be assured that safety is the utmost priority.
• The professionals working at the Center have been educated on NARHA's exacting programs and administrative standards.
• You'll know you and your loved ones are in good hands. All programs and activities at NARHA Centers are supervised by a NARHA Certified Riding Instructor.
• You can be sure that the center is insured.
• NARHA center personnel have access to continuing education opportunities to maintain a standard of excellence in providing activities with horses for individuals with disabilities.
• You can see what's right for you. All NARHA centers will be glad to explain their services to you offer tours of their facilities and can evaluate potential participants.
